LIFE GROUPS
Life Groups are a way for the people of YPC to connect with others and grow deeper in their walk with Jesus. Meeting throughout the week, these groups range from traditional Bible studies to interest-based groups such as scrapbooking, hunting/fishing etc. In times of need and times of fun, YPC Life Groups are a source of friendship and support. They are key to developing connections with those who share your interests or people who are dealing with similar life issues.
Life Groups are an opportunity to reach out to others, while growing in your walk with the Lord. Groups meet regularly in homes, businesses, restaurants, or at the church. The groups change and begin again three times a year, so you have the opportunity to try out different ones. You'll never fully experience all that Your Place Church has to offer until you connect in a Life Group!
So choose a group to attend, contact the leader to sign up and purchase materials, if needed, to start living your life to the fullest!

EQUIPPING LIFE GROUPS
The following groups are designed to equip you in some aspect of your life. Whether you are looking to increase in Biblical knowledge or to improve some area of your personal life, there is sure to be a Life Group that will equip you to live the life that God intended for you.
Next Generation Leader
God created us as 3 part beings: spirit, soul and body. Next Generation Leader (NGL) consists of 3 mini sessions that will help you become a leader in each of these areas. To attend NGL 2.0 and NGL 3.0 the preceding mini session must have been completed.
NGL 1.0
We can be most successful in our lives when we have a working knowledge of the Word of God. This mini Life Group focuses on our spirits and will consist of teaching on: healing, finances, the Holy Spirit, faith, prayer, and authority.

NGL 2.0
Our souls are made up of our mind, will and emotions. In order to lead others we need to be able to lead ourselves. In this mini Life Group we will spend 2 weeks discussing, taking and analyzing the results of our Myers Briggs test. We will spend 4 weeks discussing “Enemies of the Heart” by Andy Stanley.

NGL 3.0
God has blessed us to be a blessing. We have the privilege to take what we have been taught and ask others to follow us so that we can pass that knowledge on. This Life Group will equip us to become leaders of others with teaching on topics such as serving, submission, and the trust triangle.

Courageous Followers of Christ
Courageous captures the heart of the father, calling him to Christ as he seeks to be a better dad. Topics discussed will be:
• Responsibility: serving, protecting, and casting a vision for your family
• Priorities: focusing on eternal things rather than what is temporary
• Legacy: recognizing a father’s potential impact as a Godly role model
• Faith: strengthening a father’s identity in Christ, increasing in wisdom

OUTREACH LIFE GROUPS
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8
These Life Groups focus mainly on our Jerusalem, which is Mayes County. If you want to make a difference in our community and develop friendships at YPC then being a part of an outreach Life Group is for you. We minister to foster care kids, make ‘Thank-You’ baskets for local service organizations, fill backpacks with snacks for kids who might otherwise not have something to eat and meet other local needs as God directs us.
The YPC Community Action Project (CAP)
This group will focus on shaping the future of the YPC Outreach department while finding new and creative ways of making God’s name and YPC synonymous with love and compassion in Mayes County.

Helping Hands
Four member teams deliver meals to YPC families in times of need. Each team member creates one part of the meal and the team leader delivers it. Your team will be called upon to deliver approximately 3-4 meals a year depending on the amount of needs that arise. Rally your friends and create your own team or let us create one for you.

Reach
Our community is filled with people whose jobs are to serve and protect us. They do these jobs without the recognition and praise that they deserve. That is why this Life Group was created. Once a month we will get together to choose an organization to bless with a basket full of good things to eat. We will shop for the supplies and create the basket to be delivered by one of our team members the following week. Join this Life Group if you want to create friendships while serving others.

Beautifully Made
YPC women joining together to mentor women of Mayes County in need of help. Beautifully Made will offer you an opportunity to build relationships with those you attend church with while equipping you to show God’s love to those who need a hand up. You will have the privilege of watching someone’s life change as you help them apply for community resources, walk them through personal trials and help them develop in a relationship with God.

First Responders
When a catastrophe happens, everyone hustles around to help those in need…but we want to be proactive and ready BEFORE the disaster hits! This life group will meet once a month to brainstorm and organize methods to be better prepared when a disaster hits in our neighboring communities. Let’s pick each other’s brains and come up with some great ideas to be of better assistance if a situation should ever arise.
Helping others is the best gift to give, especially during ones greatest time of need.

John 3:16
Teens and adults serving the homeless with the John 3:16 Mission in Tulsa. Due to the missions requirements; participants must be 15 years of age or older to serve and the group is limited to the first 12 to sign up each month.

The Link
Do you have a heart for the hurting? Do you always want to brighten someone’s day? This group will get together and build relationships with each other as we show the love of God to our YPC family. We will write cards, facebook messages and pray for our church family. We will make hospital and home visits as the need arises.
